A witty take on modern social interaction. Humour is the best defence against the fear that everyone around you knows exactly what they are doing while you have no idea.

Sam is amazed by the world around him, and baffled the no one sees the way he does. Louisa drifts into fantasy to escape the anxiety of trying to fit in with the people around her. Sam and Louisadon’t know how to navigate the world. They don’t even know each other.

This northern English city is full of younger people they don’t understand and older people who are proper adults.

Neither young and carefree or grown up and stable, Sam and Louisa are stuck in the jam in the middle.
